CANCELLATION POLICY

Effective February 13, 2020
A cancelled appointment not only effects you, it also effects me and another client who could have scheduled for the time slot. Best practice is to schedule sessions in advance, therefore the time is reserved exclusively for clients. When a session is cancelled without the 24 hour advanced notice, I am unable to offer it to another current client or a client on the wait list.
50% cancellation fee of your service charge will be assessed when you miss or cancel an appointment without giving 24 hours advanced notice. Therefore, if you are scheduled for a 1:00 pm appointment on Wednesday, notice must be given by 1:00 pm Tuesday afternoon at the latest. You do not have to wait until you have 24 hours to cancel, cancelling more than 24 hours in advance is preferred. You can cancel your appointment by calling, texting, or emailing me.
Mentioned in the "PROMPTNESS" section of the Consent for Services in the New Client Intake Paperwork, neither you or I are expected to wait longer than 15 minutes past the scheduled time for the start of the session unless there has been previous notice. If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, this will count as a missed appointment.
The only time that the fee will be waived is at my careful discretion, in the event of serious or contagious illness, extreme weather, or an extreme medical or physical emergency. If you are unsure, please communicate with me as soon as you are aware of the potential barrier that is causing you to consider cancelling.
